What is the READERS WHO RECOMMEND program?
It is our special Go Big Read review program, open to readers ages 18 years or older. In this program, you may request a free copy of any of our books. All we ask is that once you’ve read the book, you recommend that book to others via your social media sites OR on Amazon OR with a local librarian or book seller. Then, once you have shared it with your network(s), send us a link or a screen shot so we can share the good news with the writer of that book! If you talk to someone face-to-face (in a book group or to a librarian or book seller) just send us an email and tell us about it.
What happens if I don’t feel I can recommend a book to others?
Hey, we get it. Not every book is right for every reader. I can’t tell you the number of books I’ve started to read and had to put down because it just wasn’t right for me. But, as writers, it helps us to grow in our craft if we can understand what exactly about our book doesn’t work for our readers. It also helps the Go Big Readreview board determine which authors may (or may not) be a good fit for the readers at this site. Therefore, if you feel you can’t recommend the book to others in your social networks, all we ask is that you send us a note and let us know exactly what it was about that book that did not work for you.
How many different books may I request?
Well, the answer to this is as many as you want (sort of). We just ask that you request only one book at a time. Once you’ve read it, recommended it, and sent us a link or screen shot of that recommendation OR sent us a note explaining why you are not recommending it, you are free to request a new book to read and recommend.
Okay. I’m ready! How do I sign up?
There is no actual “sign up”. As long as you are 18 years of age or older, all you have to do to get started is to click on the cover of the book you wish to read and (hopefully) recommend. It will take you directly to that book’s information page. There you will find (among other things) a form to fill out, requesting a review copy of the book. Fill it out and you will be sent further instructions on how to receive your free book.
I requested a free review copy and the book was sent to me as a digital download. I thought I was getting an actual book!
I’m sorry you feel misled. I didn’t do that on purpose. Print review copies are expensive to produce. I recognize that, and therefore only require my authors to provide review copies to our readers in digital form. If this is not a convenient form for you, let us know and we will forward your request for a print review copy to the author. It will be his or her decision whether or not to honor that request with an actual print book.
I have a question that wasn’t answered here.
Still have some questions? Feel free to use the contact page and send them to me. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
